Ok, to the photo. The pastel colours work very well in setting up a subtle mood to the piece. I also really love how the man is silhouetted. It contrasts with the section of sky behind him so well. That, and his reflection is perfect because it is in the calm section of the ocean protected by the sand bar, yet there are ripples to distort it just enough to make it interesting. It wouldn't have the same effect if it was a perfect reflection.
